CCTV

Closed Circuit Television Systems (CCTVS) are installed in our premises and installed by ABEL Alarm Company under their company policies.

CCTV systems are installed internally in premises for the purpose of enhancing security of the building and its associated equipment as well as creating a mindfulness among the occupants, at any one time, that a surveillance security system is in operation within the premises during both the daylight and night hours each day. CCTV surveillance at the premises is intended for the purposes of:

  • protecting the shop and shop assets, both during and after shop opening hours;
  • promoting the health and safety of staff and customers;
  • preventing bullying;
  • reducing the incidence of crime and anti-social behaviour (including theft and vandalism);
  • supporting the local police in a bid to deter and detect crime; and
  • assisting in identifying, apprehending and prosecuting offenders

Who we share your data with

We do not share or disclose any of your personal information without your consent, other than for the purposes specified in this notice or where there is a legal requirement. We use third-parties to provide the below services and business functions; however, all processors acting on our behalf only process your data in accordance with instructions from us and comply fully with this privacy notice, the data protection laws and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

How long we retain your data

We only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations. We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and/or withdraw your consent.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
