Mama Sita’s Kare-Kare Mix (Peanut Sauce Mix) 57g — a convenient Filipino seasoning mix for preparing traditional Kare-Kare, a rich and savoury Filipino stew with a delicious peanut sauce. Made with peanuts, rice flour, cane sugar and annatto, it creates a thick, nutty and beautifully coloured sauce that pairs perfectly with tender meat and vegetables.

Ingredients: Peanuts, Rice Flour, Cane Sugar, Iodized Salt, Annatto Powder.

Preparation: Dissolve one 57g pouch of Mama Sita’s Kare-Kare Mix in broth. Add to cooked meat and vegetables and simmer until the sauce thickens. Traditionally served with oxtail or other meat, eggplant, long green beans and bok choy, with sautéed shrimp paste (bagoong) and rice.
